Training
Throughout their careers, diplomats, military officers, and other foreign affairs practitioners continue to refine their professional skills to remain effective in evolving global arenas.
Drawing on a group of international experts — including Georgetown faculty, and former and serving diplomats — ISD designs and delivers short-term training programs that respond to the diverse needs of diplomatic practitioners.
ISD’s training programs develop and expand diplomatic skills and capacities, and deepen international affairs knowledge for foreign policy professionals. The Institute also trains Georgetown students in negotiation, decision-making and crisis management through simulations.
