"Iran, however, would like nothing else, in my view, than a normal relationship with the U.S. Talking to the Europeans is a bridge to reaching out to the U.S. and having a normal relationship with the U.S. where they would like to be respected, recognized as a regional power while recognizing them as a global power. So, it’s a question of division of labor. It’s a question of who will do what in the Middle East."
