David Allen is a third-year graduate student at Georgetown University where he is pursuing dual Master’s degrees in the schools of Foreign Service (MSFS) and Public Policy (MPP) with concentrations in climate policy and global governance. He hopes to pursue a career in the federal government as either a Foreign Service Officer or an environmental policy analyst. David has held several internship positions at the State Department, New America Foundation, and the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Outside of his studies, David serves as the President for Public Policy OUT, a graduate LGBT policy interest student organization, and as a student representative for the MSFS program. In 2015, he was Director of Planning and Development for the McCourt Student Policy Conference on sustainable infrastructure, which featured former Mexican President Calderon as the keynote speaker. Prior to Georgetown, David taught English to high school students in South Korea on a Fulbright scholarship. David received a B.A. in international relations and East Asian studies from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
