Tony Yuan Li

Tony Yuan Li is a senior in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Political Economy with certificates in Diplomatic Studies and International Business Diplomacy. His recent role as a research assistant at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) focused on the role of artificial intelligence in the future of warfare. Before that, he interned at the Singapore Embassy in Washington D.C., where he supported the defense attaché in enhancing US-Singaporean defense relations. Born and raised in Singapore, Tony is passionate about Southeast Asian affairs, global security, and great power rivalry. His ISD project will explore how Southeast Asian states navigate intensifying US-China competition, assessing its implications for regional security and great power politics.
