Research topic: Investigating the Impact of Financial Bailout Packages on Pakistan’s Diplomatic and Political Discourse.
Ali Shahbaz is a senior in Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics with a concentration in security and a minor in French. His research aims to create a blueprint to interpret the dilemmas states encounter when grappling between questions of political action and financial engagement. He has worked at JP Morgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank in New York; at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation; Georgetown Global Consulting; and has been Pakistan’s Youth Ambassador to the United Nations. He has lived in Pakistan, Switzerland, New York and DC, spent a semester in France and speaks French.
