Annie Leuker is a second-year student in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University with a concentration in International Security. Her research focuses on how a recent increase in asylum seekers affects civil society and governance in Mexico City. Currently, Annie works as the Events and Programs Manager at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. In this capacity, she handles logistics and planning for award lectures, academic partnership programs, and international seminars. Before coming to Georgetown, Annie worked at World Learning as part of the implementation team for the U.S. State Department-funded Global UGRAD grant. Her portfolio included Western Hemisphere Affairs (NEA) and Near Eastern Affairs (NEA) countries. Annie graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy.
