Colonel Andrew Marsh

Colonel Andrew W. Marsh graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 2003 and was commissioned into the United States Army as an Armor Officer. Serving primarily as a Cavalryman and Reconnaissance officer across a variety of Infantry and Armored formations; he most recently commanded 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division from 2021 to 2023 during the Brigade’s no-notice deployment to Europe. In addition to his tactical experiences, Colonel Marsh was selected for a variety of broadening positions; serving as the Executive Briefer for the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, as the Joint Staff Liaison to the Department of Homeland Security National Incident Commander Center, as a Division Chief for the J3 – Director of Operations at the Pentagon, as an Assistant Professor of English and the Department Executive Officer at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and as Aide-de-Camp to the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has tactical and operational experience in the Middle East, Pacific, and European regions. Colonel Marsh has a B.A. in English from Virginia Military Institute and a M.A. in English from James Madison University.
