Colonel Daniel J. Oh

Colonel Daniel J. Oh graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2001 and commissioned as a Military Police Officer. He transitioned to become a U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer (FAO) in 2011. As an Indo-Pacific FAO, Colonel Oh has served in a variety of assignments, including Assistant Professor of History at the U.S. Military Academy, Security Cooperation Officer at U.S. Embassy-Seoul and U.S. Embassy-Dili, Political-Military Planner on the Joint Staff Directorate of Strategy, Plans, and Policy (J-5), Commander of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Detachment Three at U.S. Embassy-Vientiane, and the Chief of International Military Affairs at the U.S. Army Pacific. Colonel Oh has a B.S. in European History and German from the U.S. Military Academy along with a Ph.D. in History from the University of Chicago.
