Erin Amato
Assistant Director of Studies
Erin Amato serves as the Assistant Director of Studies at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. In her position, she collaborates on program structure for the Georgetown Leadership Seminar (GLS) and the Executive Master’s Degree programs in Diplomacy and International Affairs (EMDIA) for mid-career students from Qatar and Indonesia. Ms. Amato brings eight years of experience in international exchange program management and operations for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), and the Fortune Magazine Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership alongside the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her work interpreting foreign policy white papers for a popular audience has been featured by the Wilson Center in its Wilson Quarterly online blog. She holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School at George Washington University and a B.A. in Political Science and French from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a native of Charlotte, NC and speaks French.
