Freddie Mallinson
Assistant Director of Programs and Research
Freddie Mallinson is the Assistant Director of Programs and Research at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Prior to joining ISD, he worked in the Council on Foreign Relations' Washington External Affairs division, the Stimson Center's Global Governance and Justice program, and C|T Intelligence.
Mr. Mallinson received his Bachelors of Arts with Honors in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, and his MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University concentrating in U.S. National Security Policy. During his Master's, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Security Studies Review.
At ISD, Mr. Mallinson is responsible for executing the Bridging the Gap Initiative programming funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, including ISD's Case Studies library, the Diplomatic Immunity podcast, the Diplomatic Pouch magazine, and ISD's Working Group event series.
