Ho Park

Mr. Park joined the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy in December of 2014 after serving as Political Minister at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Rome, Italy. Prior to that, he served as Political Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Paris, France.
Mr. Park joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before known as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), in 1992 and began his tour in the United Kingdom as Second Secretary in 1998 and later served in Laos as First Secretary.
In 2005, Mr. Park went back to the Republic of Korea (ROK) and served as Director for Innovation Division of Office for Planning and Management at the MOFAT, dealing with human resources and contributing the expansion of the MOFAT. After that, in 2007, he began to serve as Director for West Europe Division of European Affairs Bureau at MOFAT where he held regular political meetings with major European nations and worked on consolidating the ROK-EU strategic partnership.
Mr. Park received a BA in political science from Hankook University of Foreign Studies in the Republic of Korea and studied at the State University of New York at Albany in 1993.
