Jarrett Dang
Class of 2025 Weintal Scholar
Jarrett Dang is a Master of Science in Foreign Service student concentrating in international development. He is interested in the role of multilateral institutions, such as the World Bank and IMF, in global development. Jarrett currently works as a research assistant at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.
Prior to Georgetown, Jarrett worked as an assistant producer at public radio's Marketplace show, where he shaped on-air stories on a variety of economic and business-related matters. Based out of New York, he worked with host David Brancaccio to book high-profile interviews with guests ranging from Fortune 500 CEOs to civil society leaders. He also worked to launch the show's Economic Pulse segment, which invites a variety of guests to talk about issues such as homelessness, gig work, and the impact of the pandemic on businesses. Jarrett helped manage Marketplace's formal partnership with the BBC World Service and produced several interviews with The Economist newspaper.
Jarrett is a 2022 graduate of Seton Hall University's School of Diplomacy, where he double majored in international relations and economics. He served as the executive producer of The Global Current, the school's international affairs radio show and podcast, as well as the editor-in-chief of The Diplomatic Envoy, an independent student newspaper covering global news.
