Jordyn Iger is a Global Human Development candidate pursuing certificates in Diplomatic Studies, Gender Peace and Security, and Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies. Her research interests involve the nexus between development, conflict/peacebuilding, and policy, particularly in the Sahel and North Africa; and parallels between development studies abroad and social issues in the United States. Prior to starting at Georgetown, Jordyn spent a year at GlobalGiving, where she reviewed applications for nonprofits hoping to join the platform, published content to help nonprofits and corporate grantmaking partners, and helped to manage several corporate grantmaking partnerships. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having worked on community public health in rural Senegal. Jordyn graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a BA in Communication Studies. She speaks French and Pulaar/Fula/Toucouleur, and has experience with Mandarin, Wolof, and Arabic.
