Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Crockett

Lieutenant Colonel Joshua V.N. "Davy" Crockett is the Commander of the 2d Air Refueling Squadron, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. He leads over 130 aircrew members and support personnel operating 22 KC-46 Pegasus aircraft, executing rapid global combat, humanitarian, and peacetime air refueling and cargo missions in support of National Command Authority directives. His previous assignments include serving as Military Assistant for the Deputy Chief of Staff, Capability Development, overseeing a 47-million-euro budget and 265+ Alliance members conducting NATO defense planning for 32 nations. He began his career flying C-130J-30 aircraft at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, culminating as Group Executive Officer and Instructor Pilot with two deployments to Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he piloted over 75 combat airdrops in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He then qualified as a KC-135R/T Aircraft Commander at Fairchild AFB, Washington, deploying twice to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, in support of Operations FREEDOM SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, and RESTORING HOPE, where he offloaded more than 3.3 million pounds of fuel to 213 coalition aircraft. Lieutenant Colonel Crockett is a 2007 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott Campus' Reserve Officer Training Corps program and earned his second master's degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
