Lieutenant Colonel Timothy M. Gibbons

Prior to his arrival at Georgetown, Tim was assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National Counterterrorism Center, where he worked on issues related to counterterrorism, transnational organized crime, and the Americas. Lieutenant Colonel Gibbons’ previous assignments include: U.S. Forces Korea, the U.S. Army Operational Test Command; and various Military Intelligence and Armor assignments at the brigade, battalion, and company level. Lieutenant Colonel Gibbons earned a B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University, a M.A. in Homeland Security from American Military University, and a M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College’s Defense Planner and Defense Strategy Courses.
