Marvin Kalb
Marvin Kalb is a nonresident senior fellow with the Foreign Policy program at Brookings Institution and senior advisor at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. His distinguished journalism career spans more than 30 years and includes award-winning reporting for both CBS and NBC News as chief diplomatic correspondent, Moscow bureau chief, and anchor of NBC’s Meet the Press. Kalb is the founding director of Harvard University’s Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy, and is currently the Murrow professor emeritus at Harvard and host of The Kalb Report at the National Press Club. He is the author of the books “Imperial Gamble: Putin, Ukraine, and the New Cold War” (Brookings Press, 2015), "Enemy of the People: Trump's War on the Press, the New McCarthyism, and the Threat to American Democracy" (Brookings Press, 2018), and, most recently, "Assignment Russia · Becoming a Foreign Correspondent in the Crucible of the Cold War" (Brookings Press, 2021).
