Title: In Review | ISD + DiG Event – DEI Change Agents in the U.S. State Department: The Role of Senior Leadership

DIG Diversity and Inclusion at Georgetown University

On August 5, 2021, the graduate student organization, Diversity and Inclusion at Georgetown (DiG), and the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy hosted the first of a two-part series highlighting the efforts and leadership needed to implement change on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in the State Department. This event series sheds light on how this process takes place at different levels within the institution through the valuable perspectives from senior leadership and mid-level officers.

The first speaker was Ambassador Abercrombie-Winstanley, inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and the State Department.
