Ramon Escobar is a career Foreign Service Officer who has served in a diverse range of tours in the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.
“Coming from a diverse background, we bring a lot to the table. For me, growing up, jumping different cultural contexts is not challenging, it’s actually natural. I think that conducting diplomacy overseas, in particular, it’s important to have that ability to put yourself in that perspective, into the culture you’re working. I think that adds a lot of value and it’s something that’s very personal, being able to look at things from someone else’s perspective, instinctually, is serving me well.”
