Forrest Simpson

Forrest Simpson is a graduate student in the School of Foreign Service’s Security Studies Program. He is an active-duty officer in the U.S. Navy currently stationed in the Washington, D.C.area. While in the Navy, Forrest has held a variety of operational and staff assignments, including a deployment aboard an aircraft carrier to the Asia-Pacific region. Forrest completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University, where he majored in history. His senior essay studied India’s counterinsurgency approach to the Naxalite movement. As an ISD Fellow at Georgetown, Forrest’s research will focus on intelligence diplomacy.
