ISD directs a number of competitive programs for both undergraduates and graduate students that support significant research on a critical policy issue and provide necessary financial support to full-time students at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS).
The ISD Fellows in Diplomacy program offers academic credit and a stipend or merit-based scholarship to selected Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) and graduate SFS students for independent research on current and emerging diplomatic issues.
The two-year Edward Weintal Foreign Service Scholarships are awarded to incoming graduate SFS students based on overall merit and the strength of their application.
The Horace Porter Endowment supports research on issues of international relations, foreign policy, strategy or diplomacy that is directly related to your SFS academic requirements.
The Donald F. McHenry Global Public Service Fellowship recognizes exceptional incoming SFS graduate students committed to global public service — and equips them with the cross-disciplinary skills to meet the world’s most complex challenges.
