Weintal Scholarship

The Edward “Teddy” Weintal Bequest to Georgetown University provides up in $30,000 merit-based scholarship funds to one MSFS student per year who demonstrates academic excellence, and background in and special promise as a practitioner in diplomatic reporting across any journalistic media, reflecting the legacy of Mr. Weintal.

The fellow is chosen by the Director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, which administers the scholarship, in consultation with the chair of the Weintal Fund and the MSFS Admissions and Scholarship Committee. Continuation of the award for the second year of studies is contingent upon strong academic progress (3.2 GPA or above). The Weintal Scholar is affiliated with and works closely with the ISD over the course of their studies.
